The Parks & Recreation Board serves as an advisory body to the City Council. The Board advises the City Council on needed facilities to provide open space such as parks, playgrounds, and community facilities or other forms of recreation. It also oversees City programs to enhance the leisure time activities of the residents of the City of Atlantic. Meetings are held on the third Monday of the month at 5:15 p.m. in the Council Chambers at City Hall, 23 East 4th Street. The five members are elected from the City at large and serve six year staggered terms.
